Perhaps the best way to describe the new 2024 GLA is to say that it's more "GLA" than ever.
All the things that made the compact SUV unique have been elevated and enhanced. Sportiness, agility, versatility, pure intelligence: each raised to the next degree and signaled with a refreshed, modern design. From redefined grille to LED headlamps with standard Highbeam Assist1, the new GLA finds its essence. Inside, the cabin makes room for two 10.25-inch media displays - also equipped standard - that anchor the open-plan architecture. Tapping into the latest generation of the MBUX operating system, the driver display features three distinct styles: "Classic" for all relevant driver information, "Sporty" with its dynamic tachometer and "Discreet," showing only the essentials.

MBUX takes things even further with its most intuitive updates yet. It's now even better at understanding conversation and learning from driver preferences. It monitors favorite settings, functions, and routes and suggests the right features to enhance each driving situation. Equipped with the optional Burmester® surround sound system2, MBUX also enables a Dolby Atmos® audio experience3, immersing drivers in a rich sonic environment.

Under the hood, the new GLA welcomes a 48-volt on-board power supply to enhance agility with a boost of 13 horsepower. Thanks to this mild hybrid powertrain, the SUV can "coast" while the combustion engine rests and recuperate energy during braking and acceleration. What that really means is that the GLA is more nimble, more responsive and more purely fun to drive than ever.

The 2024 GLA arrives at your dealership later this year.

(1) Adaptive Highbeam Assist is not a substitute for active driving involvement. Driver is responsible for adjusting the vehicle's lighting to prevailing light, visibility, traffic and other conditions, and for adhering to local driving laws.

(2) Burmester is a registered trademark of Burmester Audiosysteme GmbH, Berlin, Germany.

(3) Dolby Atmos is a registered trademark of Dolby Laboratories Licensing Corporation.

(4) Power output is a preliminary estimate. See your dealer.

(5) System cannot overcome the laws of physics, nor is it a substitute for being attentive to driving, traffic and conditions. Please always wear your seat belt. Performance is limited by available traction, which snow, ice and other conditions can affect. Always drive carefully, consistent with conditions. Best performance in snow is obtained with winter tires.

(6) Camera systems do not audibly notify driver of nearby objects and are not a substitute for actively checking around the vehicle for any obstacles or people. Images displayed may be limited by camera field of view, weather, lighting conditions and the presence of dirt, ice or snow on the camera.

(7) Some systems are optional. Even the most advanced safety systems may not be sufficient to avoid an accident. It is the driver's responsibility at all times to be attentive to traffic and road conditions, and to provide the steering, braking and other driving inputs necessary to retain control of the vehicle. Drivers are cautioned not to wait for system alerts before braking or taking evasive action, as that may not afford sufficient time and distance. See Operator's Manual for system operating speeds and additional information and warnings.
